Children will enjoy old-fashioned festivities like apple-bobbing, face painting, craft projects, games, and a hunt for hidden treasures buried in a giant haystack. A visiting witch brings storytelling and sing-along activities. The grand finale of the event is the traditional parade of costumed children marching down Cumberland Court and Maryland Avenue. Step into the enchanting hub of wizard society, where the cobblestone street of is transformed into the mysterious Diagon Alley. Proprietors along Maryland Avenue will be hosting a street festival to celebrate the upcoming Halloween holiday with free activities for the entire family, even pets, including characters, performances, and contests. Activities include a Jack O’ Lantern carving contest, a costumed pet parade, storytellers, and theatrical selections from "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow", Shakespeare’s "Macbeth", and encounters with a host of Halloween-inspired characters.
