Bowie will be home to a new Super Giant grocery store.

Grocery shoppers in Bowie will soon have more choices when the new Super Giant opens at Free State Mall this month.  At 73,000 square feet, the store will be almost 50% larger than the space they are leaving. 

The new Super Giant will be one of the new "prototype" stores in the Baltimore/Washington area. You will be able to choose from an expanded selection including Oriental, Thai, and Hispanic foods along with natural foods, as well as conveniences like the DVD kiosk for your evening’s entertainment.

"We are making a significant investment to improve our customer offering and make our stores easier to shop in," commented Bill Holmes, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Giant in a recent press release. "Our new prototype stores offer expanded perishable departments and focus on making shopping more convenient through technological improvements and a wider assortment of ready-to-eat and prepared foods."
