How Antiques Are Appraised

Professional antiques appraiser Ben Hastings presents a Brown Bag lecture, and explains basic techniques used to assess the value and condition of fine furniture, decorative objects, and paintings. Halloween Street Festival

Step into the enchanting hub of wizard society, where the cobblestone street of

Maryland Avenue
is transformed into the mysterious Diagon Alley. Proprietors along Maryland Avenue will be hosting a street festival to celebrate the upcoming Halloween holiday with free activities for the entire family, even pets, including characters, performances, and contests. Activities include a Jack O' Lantern carving contest, a costumed pet parade, storytellers, and theatrical selections from "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow", Shakespeare's "Macbeth", and encounters with a host of Halloween-inspired characters.
