Miami-based Lennar Corp. chooses Bowie for its regional headquarters.

Melford Plaza will soon have a new tenant – The Lennar Corp. The Miami-based developer is moving its Silver Spring and Crofton operations to Bowie, taking space in the new office building at the former Maryland Science and Technology Center. This new office will become Lennar’s regional headquarters.

In a Gazette article, Lennar Division President Bruce Harvey wrote that, “We considered many different buildings throughout the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. corridor, but Melford Plaza combined the most advantages for our company….” This new location puts the Lennar office in reach of each of its housing developments in the Baltimore-Washington corridor.
